Tearful Goodbyes!!

Saying goodbyes could be so hard was something I did not expect. Farewells are painful. You get used to a place, working together, sharing a joke and laughing together with your colleagues, and who can forget lunch hours?? There is so much you learn when working together...you actually learn to work together, as a team!! Co-ordinating, getting things done, meeting deadlines. I am going to miss all of this. There will be a lull for a while.

I am thankful to God for the great memories I have of my workplace. Memories that will lighten my mood on a cloudy day or bring a smile when I am blue! Thank you guys!! I loved my lunch hours as I loved digging into different lunch boxes....for me it meant tasting a variety of cuisines and flavors. In my workplace, lunches were extended where conversations began with food and ended on global issues.

One of the highlights of my company were parties - to make it more specific- treats for practically everything!! Getting married, birthdays, anniversaries, freshers....all these called for a treat! There was no escaping from this! This meant biryanis, pizzas, vada paos, SPDP, bhel (which could turn out spicy once in a while)...The list is endless! :)

I start a new journey and I have no clue what it will be like. Leaving you guys will be strange but this is life!! And it must go on!! So long dear friends, life's journey has been wonderful with you all!!

My friend's wedding

Last Sunday I attended my ex-colleague's wedding and boy! it was a different experience altogether. It was the first I was a witness to a Sikh wedding. The wedding took place in a Gurudwara in Camp. I went along with my sis who was also completely bowled over by a cultural shock!

Why do I say so? It was for the first time we were surrounded by Punjabi and all we could hear was Punjabi. In fact the wedding ceremony was conducted in Punjabi!! You could say I was totally "Lost in Translation". But I enjoyed the experience and it felt so different meeting people from a different community who speak, dress and behave differently.

My friend was excited to see us and she looked so happy to be married!! She looked absolutely stunning that day!! Her joy clearly reflected on her face which made her look extremely beautiful. I wish her loads of happiness and an exciting married life ahead!!

Saying good bye!!

One of the toughest things to do is saying good-bye! Suddenly you realise that the wonderful times that you spent with your colleague and friend has come to an end. Come to think it, everything has a beginning and also an end. Things don't go on forever and people move on with their lives and so must I. Working with this particular colleague was an experience in itself. In life you come across very few people with whom you can work joyfully and have loads of fun all at the same time.

Yes! It's gonna be difficult not having you around, but as I said life goes on. We make new friends, make new memories and treasure the old! All I can say dear friend, have a great life ahead and may you always spread joy and laughter around....Will miss u!!!
