Living in the shadows

Enjoying its restrain,

Someone’s calling me out

But how am I to liberate? 

This has been my life

Darkness and flight,

Shadows and shades

Fulfilling every game.

It’s the glimmer of light

That’s calling me, alright!

How can I trust you?

How can I step out?

This is how it goes

Done by friend and foe,

Take a step, look to the light

Shadows, I’m here for a fight!

Summer

In search of some thrills, I wore my pretty frills,

Walking down the beach and looking at the sun

I said to myself, “This should be so much fun!”

But how should I know that life will have its go

On a day like today, a bright summer’s day
