My Favorite List—Books

I love to read and there are some books that I would to re-read at all times.

A Tale of Two Cities:  I was introduced to this book in high school and how I loved it! I was studying French in school and the French Revolution from this novel added the much zing to the subject.

The Adventures of Oliver Twist: I received this book as a birthday gift. Charles Dickens has been my favorite writer since then. I remember being brought to tears as I read the account of this poor orphan.

Pride and Prejudice: Yeah, a book many folks love to hate. I came across this book in high school. I enjoyed reading this novel and it was the beginning of many Jane Austen series.

Jane Eyre: This book by far all means is my favorite. Dunno why, but I quite like the story and the suspense it contains.

I think, I’ll stop here. What are some of your favorite books?

Song of Hope

This is a beautiful song about the birth of Christ.

The lyrics. What can I say?

"The Word made flesh, Emmanuel
 The Everlasting Light
 Let the warmth of Heaven reach the coldest heart
 With the gospel of His grace"

Rejoice

What's ur favorite??

One of the things that give me great pleasure is when I know my friend's, sister's, parents' favorite song or their favorite movie or even their favorite dish. It's a neat way to remember them and not always be consumed with self.....I love to see the smile on their face when told about their favorites......Simple joys, eh??

Music of my heart!!!

Almost forgot about my favorite series, sorry readers!! Had a little lapse. Ok..I am thinking? How about my favorite songs, yes, its songs for today.....Yipee!!!

I love music and the credit goes to my Daddy dearest who instilled in me a love for GOOD music. I admit I can't sing well nor can I play any instrument like my father, but hey does that matter? My kinda music is way different from the ones preferred by my contemporaries ...No rock music for me please! The very thought of it gives me a headache. My all time favorite will be Kenny G as there are no words to describe his talent.....I love the saxophone...very soothing...I can listen to it any time of the day.....In fact whenever I am having a heart to heart conversation with my sister, I make it a point to play Kenny G (Breathless).

Coming back to songs with WORDS, it is kinda difficult to pinpoint, nevertheless let me guess....I'll go for "Yesterday" by Beatles (my all time fav. too), then next in line will be (thinking hard...) "Woman in love" by Barbara Streisand. Its so difficult to think of favorites when they are many songs clouding my head at the moment. "Hey Jude" by Beatles again.....then few selected songs by Bryan Adams. But I also love listening to country music and favorite singer being Kenny Rogers (I love his voice man!!)....

That's all I can think of right now!!! Will come with more interesting stuff..till later....adios!!!!

I love this poem

I love poems, simple truths expressed in beautiful metaphors and similes. This is one of my favorite poem written by William Cowper, "God Moves In A Mysterious Way"

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never-failing skill
He treasures up His bright designs,
And works His sovereign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take,
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan his work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.
